Our director, Lee, is also involoved with the cadet forces as a Drill Instructor. With the award of the QEII Plantinum Jubilee Medal he decided to turn his hand at medal mounting. This predominantly is done for the Cadet Forces, but he is willing to do this for anyone who requires it.
Predominantly medals are now court mounted, which means that a full back board is formed for the medal to sit on, older medals such as WWI & WW2 medals were commonly swing mounted, which meant that the medal was free to move around and just hung off a brooch bar. Medals can be swing mounted or court mounted at your request, for both miniature and full size medals.
All medals are fully sewn together, and the medals are not glued into place; the backing is made from stiff white buckram wrapped in black cloth and a black flelt is placed on the back of the medals
We can supply these at cost price (including shipping) from Worcestershire Medal Services Ltd, alternatively you can supply these directly to us to mount.
For medal mounting the fees for full size medals are: £10 for the first medal and £8 for each subsequent medal, for miniatures that is £8 for the first medal and £6.50 for each subsequent medal, return customers get 10% off. If the medal is to be posted this will be an additional cost.
